‘Ubayd Ibn ‘Umayr said, “Umar Ibn Al ،Khaṭṭāb led us in the dawn prayer. He began reciting Sūrah Yūsuf and recited until he reached “And his eyes became white from grief, for he was [of that] a suppressor” when he cried such that he stopped reciting and went into rukū‘ (bowing position).” [Siyar Al Khulafā` Al Rāshidīn (Biographies of the Rightly Guided Caliphs) p.51]
