The Battle of Al Qādisīyah (during the month of Muḥarram in the 14th year after Hijrah): This was led by Sa‘d Ibn Abī Waqqāṣ, accompanied by 6,000 troops. Between 310 and 320 of them were Ṣaḥābah and more than 700 of them were children of Ṣaḥābah. The army of the enemy were Persians led by Rustam with an army of 80,000. [Al Bidāyah Wa Al Nihāyah 7/44]
