Advice from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allāh be pleased with him): Ibn ‘Umar used to say, “If you are alive in the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning; and if you are alive in the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening. Benefit from being in good health for when you are ill; and benefit from being alive for when you are dead.” [Reported by Imām Bukhārī]
