He (may Allāh have mercy on him) said, "If you find an aspect of raising your children difficult and troublesome, ask your Lord for forgiveness and make a great deal of du'aa` (supplication) to Him that he makes you and them upright and pious, such as: "Make my progeny upright and pious"... "My Lord, grant me upright, pious progeny"... "My Lord, make me and my progeny people who establish prayer." [The Book of Families by Ibn Abī Dunyā, p.329]
