Sheikh Al-Albānī said, “The sunnah (practice of the Prophet (May Allāh praise him and Peace be upon him)) would sometimes say “I seek refuge with Allāh from Satan, who has been outcast from Allāh’s mercy, from his madness, from his arrogance and his deceptive, poetic words”… and sometimes he would say, “I seek refuge with Allāh, the All-Hearing the All-Knowing, from Satan, who has been outcast from Allāh’s mercy.” [Ṣifat al Ṣalāt (Description of Prayer), p.17]. The Sheikh said, “Then he would seek refuge With Allāh, which is obligatory, and it is a sin not to do it.” [Ṣifat al Ṣalāt (Description of Prayer), p.17].
