It is obligatory for anybody who has done one of the acts that breaks it when he intends to pray. The Messenger of Allāh (May Allāh praise him and Peace be upon him) said, “Ṣalāt (prayer) is not accepted without wuḍū`” [Reported by Imam Muslim: 224].
