The death of Khālid Ibn Al Walīd (in the 21st year after Hijrah): While he was on his death bed, Khālid said, “I was part of this military campaign and that military campaign. There is not a hand span on my body that was not struck by a sword, pierced by a spear or hit by an arrow. And here I am on a bed, dying of natural causes as a camel does. May the eyes of the cowards not sleep.”
