It was narrated by Abū Hurayrah (may Allāh be pleased with him) that the first deed that a slave will be called to account for on the Day of Judgment will be prayer. If it is good, he will be successful. If it is bad, he will fail and he will be in loss. If there are shortcomings in his obligatory prayers, the Lord will say, “Look at whether my slave has any optional ones” Then the optional ones will compensate for the shortcomings in the obligatory ones. Then, the rest of his deeds will be in accordance with that [ Ṣaḥīḥ Al Jāmi’].
