The Messenger of Allāh (May Allāh praise him and Peace be upon him) said, “Shall I not inform you of something more excellent in degree than fasting, prayer and giving charity (sadaqah)?” The people said, “Do inform us, O Messenger of Allāh!” So, he said, “Reconciling between people, because the break down of relationships shaves; I don’t mean it shaves one’s hair- I mean it shaves (destroys) one’s religion.”
