‘Ikrimah stood up and said: I fought Allāh’s Messenger - may Allāh praise him and Peace be upon him - in a number of places so am I going to flee from you today? Then he called out: Who is willing to give a pledge of death? So, his paternal uncle Al Ḥārith Ibn Hishām gave the pledge, as did Ḍirār Ibn Al Azwar.
