The greatest catastrophe that the Ummah (Muslim Nation) has been tested with was the death of Allāh's Messenger (may Allāh praise him and Peace be upon him). The evidence for this is that he (may Allāh praise him and Peace be upon him) said, “When you are afflicted by a catastrophe, remember the catastrophe of my death, because that is certainly the greatest of catastrophes.” [Al Silsilah Al Ṣaḥīḥah 1106]
