Sheikh Ibn Bāz (may Allāh have mercy on him) said, “This is a great trial and evil that many Muslims have fallen into, and we seek refuge with Allāh from it. People wake up to fulfill their worldly needs and to fulfill the rights of created beings, but they do not wake up to fulfill Allāh’ rights.” [Majmū` Al-Fatāwā 29/179].
