The Messenger of Allāh (May Allāh praise him and Peace be upon him) said, “If somebody performs wuḍū` (ablution) and does it well, then leaves for the mosque for no reason other than prayer, for every step, his rank will be increased and a sin will be taken away from him.” [Reported by Bukhārī 647]
